Currently forming part of a professional training period at the General Sleep Disorders Unit in service of the Clinical Neurophysiology of the Complejo Hospitalario de Toledo, in which I was in charge of evaluating patients with various sleep disorders particularly; apnoea, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, REM nightmares, night-terrors, sleep paralysis, nocturnal epilepsy (55 of these patients suffer from chronic insomnia and are part of my research project), hypersomnia (2 publications) with the evaluation of more than 500 patients a year and 150 night polysomnographies a year.( Technical handling, recording and analysis). The technical handling and analysis of Multimodal evoked potentials (somatosensory, visual electroretinogram and trunk audiometry). While working at the Clinical Neurophysiology Service at the Toledo Hospital Complex I undertook a three-month July 2005- JULY de 2015, 10 YEARS professional experience in the Neurophysiology Clinic in the Private Medical Centre Virgen de la Caridad, in Cartagena, Murcia, Spain which works in conjunction with the Social Security hospitals, (Santa Maria del Rosell Hospital, Naval Hospital in Cartagena, and los Arcos Hospital in Santiago de la Ribera). During the last seven years in this Centre my work related to: 9 EEG. electroencephalography /week 45 EMG. electromyography/ week 1-2 PEAT evoked potential / week 20 PSGN polysomnography /week. Dr. Pant received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Agra University, Agra, India. His postdoctoral studies were conducted on the mechanisms of electron and ion transport in model membrane systems at the Department of Biophysics at Michigan State University. He joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology in the NIMH as a senior staff fellow in 1974 with Dr. Ichiji Tasaki where he studied the function of the axonal cytoskeleton in the squid giant axon. In 1979 he moved to the NIAAA extending his studies on the neuronal cytoskeleton and the effects of alcohol on its regulation. Dr. Pant moved to the NINDS, Laboratory of Neurochemistry in 1987 where he is presently chief of the section on Cytoskeleton Regulation. His laboratory is studying the mechanisms of topographic regulation of neuronal cytoskeleton proteins by post-translational modification, including the role of kinase cascades in normal brain and during neurodegeneration

The major focus of this laboratory has been to study the mechanisms of topographic regulation of neuronal cytoskeletal proteins regulation by phosphorylation and neurodegeneration. In a normal physiological state, cytoskeletal proteins are phosphorylated extensively in the axonal compartment of a mature neuron. Although all the substrates, kinases, phosphatases and their regulators are synthesized in neuronal cell bodies, little or no cytoskeletal protein phosphorylation has been detected in the cell body compartment. Under a variety of neuropathological conditions, however, such as ALS, Alzheimers Disease, or Picks disease, hyperphosphorylation of these molecules has been found in abnormal aggregates within cell bodies, usually correlated with massive neuronal cell death. The mechanisms underlying these profound compartmental shifts in neuronal phosphorylation are not well understood.The normal physiological processes within neurons are controlled by signal transduction mechanisms that regulate the balance between protein kinase and protein phosphatase activities. We have shown that the most abundant and extensively phosphorylated motifs in the c-terminal domains (lys-ser-pro-, or KSP) are primarily phosphorylated by proline directed kinases, cdk5 and MAP kinases. Moreover, we have demonstrated that this phosphorylation is due to activation of the signal transduction cascade. Recently, we have focussed on the other part of this regulation, the protein phosphatases. The other project is to study the expression, regulation and role of neuronal Cdk5 in nerve cell function.Cdk5 is a unique multifunctional kinase. Unlike other cyclin-dependent kinases, it is expressed predominantly in post-mitotic neurons, its activity modulated by association with nervous system-specific propeins. Since its identification and characterization in our laboratory, we have been intensively studying its mechanisms of regulation and its role in nerve cell function.

He is the Head of Department of Radiology in University of Uyo,Nigeria. He is a former Adjunct Lecturer in Madonna University, Elele, Nigeria and also a former Consultant Radiologist, Polyclinic Bonanjo, Douala, Cameroon. Dr. Uduma is a member of Medical Advisory Board in University of Uyo teaching hospital, Nigeria. He is also an associate Editor of many journals including West African Journal of Radiology. Dr. Mohan received his Bachelor of Science (HONS) degree in Pharmacology from University of Hertfordshire, England, UK in 2002. During this time, Dr. Mohan was awarded a research scholarship to study and perform research in the USA. During his one-year research scholarship, Dr. Mohan worked on understanding genes responsible for antibiotic resistance in ocean samples collected from the South Pole.After graduating with his B.Sc., Dr. Mohan had a short stint in big pharma., with Pfizer Inc., focusing his research efforts on sexual health and urology discovery. After Pfizer, Dr. Mohan returned to the USA after being accepted onto a Ph.D. program in Biomedical Science in the Dept. of Pharmacology & Physiology, College of Medicine at Oklahoma State Univ. After publishing his work on opioid neuropharmacology and graduating with his Ph.D. in 2008 Dr. Mohan accepted a postdoctoral assistant position at the Univ. of Iowa. During his time in Iowa, Dr. Mohan concentrated on gaining valuable experience pertaining clinical pain, focusing on postoperative pain and discovery of novel targets to alleviate acute pain following surgery.Dr. Mohan served as the President for the North Central Florida Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) from 2013 – 2014. Dr. Mohan is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, American Heart Association and the International Society for Neuroimmunology. Dr. Mohan has taught and mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate students during his research career. Dr. Mohan is currently a Advisory Board Member for the Sia Brain Awareness Foundation and a peer-reviewer for the J. of Pain Research and on the editorial board of the J. Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Mohan is also a coalition member for Cabell County Substance Abuse Prevention Partnership (CCSAPP) here in Huntington, WV.

Giuseppe Scalabrino studied at the School of Medicine of the University of Milan and received his M.D. degree magna cum laude in 1968. He has held a number of academic positions in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Milan. He was Associate Professor of General Pathology between 1971 and 1985; full Professor of General Pathology from 1986 till 2014. He has been invited speaker in various conferences, mainly dealing with the role of polyamines in oncology and subsequently with the cobalamin (vitamin B12) neurotrophism. Among his numerous honors, he received the International Award "Roentgen" from Italian Accademia dei Lincei in Rome for oncological research in 1983. He is author of more than 100 scientific papers and reviewer of numerous International Journals. Dr. Scalabrino's studies of cobalamin neurotrophism have been mentioned and reviewed in 12 american textbooks of neurology, biochemistry, hematology, and vitaminology

Queen Mokhuane is presently Acting Executive Director: Student Affairs and is also the Professor and Head in the department of Clinical Psychology at Medunsa Campus. She has an extensive experience in academia, students, teaching and student life including management. She has also received training in the auditing of institutions of higher learning. She holds a doctoral degree in Psychology (UNISA) and fellow ship in Public Health obtained from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA and an Internship in HIV/AIDS at the Seattle Community Mental Health. Queen has been extensively involved with international organizations such as the Kellogg’s Foundation and assisted in the development of academic and research projects for the training of health care personnel. She has been also involved in Mental Health Policy Initiative (Department of Health SA) Children’s Rights (Human Rights Division) – Geneva. To this effect, she was a member of Committee on the Rights of the Child 1999-2001. She is a member of various professional organizations and has referred scientific papers.
