Neurology and Neurophysiology 2017

We are happy to announce our 12th International Conference on Neurology and Neurophysiology is going to be held during May 18-20, 2017 in Munich, one of the most prosperous and fastest growing cities in Germany

Our event aims to gather the Neurophysiologists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, Pharmacists, Research scientists, Neurology Organizations and societies, Pharmaceutical companies, Neuro and CNS drug Industries, Neuroscience associations, Professors and Students from Academia in the study of Neurology and Neurophysiology to share their views around the theme “Ground-breaking Research sheds light on the mysteries of Neurology and Neurophysiology

Significant skills are required to diagnose neurologic conditions and manage treatment options. Neurophysiology is concerned with the investigation of function in the central and peripheral nervous system, most oftenly using electrophysiological or biological tools to record and study bioelectrical activity of the nerves and muscles of brain and spinal cord to diagnose conditions including neuromuscular disorders, sleep disorders, epilepsy, dementia, and multiple sclerosis, etc.

Track 1: Neurology

Neurology deals well with diagnosis and treatment of the diseases that involve the autonomic peripheral, and central nervous systems. Hundreds of millions of people all over the world are affected by neurological disorders. More than fifty million people are having epilepsy and around 35.6 million are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Depression affects nearly 300 million people globally and this number is projected to increase. This session is an effort to address all areas related to Neurology and includes overview of Child and adolescent neurology, Forensic neurology, Clinical neurology, Neurocritical care, Gene expression studies, Autoimmune neurology and Neurological enhancement

Neurophysiology is the discipline of neuroscience and physiology that focuses on the functioning of the nervous system. Neurophysiology is related to neurobiology, psychology, neurology, clinical neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, biophysics, cognitive science, mathematical biology and other sciences related to brain

Neurophysiology has advanced tremendously over the last quarter of a century largely due to new technological developments used in health care. The impact of technology on our specialty means that we are an ever-evolving discipline.  Neurophysiologists are physicians having a sub-specialty in conducting testing to help diagnose nervous system disorders by studying their electrical functioning. This session will review the Cutting edge techniques in neurophysiology, Intraoperative neurophysiological methods, EEG/EMG/NIOM Technologies, Applied cases in peripheral and central neurophysiology, neuropsychology in Clinical practice

Autonomic dysfunction occurs either as a secondary condition of some other disease or as a primary disorder in which the autonomic nervous system is the only system impacted.

Here we discuss about the Dysautonomia, Polyneuropathies, Motor neuron diseases, Genetic and non-genetic disorders, cerebrovascular diseases, Blood pressure and Heart problems, breathing and swallowing problems etc.

New insights into the molecular mechanisms involved in the propagation of neurotransmitter signals across biological membranes and regulation of neuronal responses have allowed the development of novel hypotheses, which might explain the altered postsynaptic neuroreceptor responsivity thought to be integral to the pathophysiology of the neurological disorders.  Key roles of these signalling cascades in the amplification and integration of signals in the CNS, the findings have clear connection not only for research into the etiology and pathophysiology of the mood disorders but also for the development of innovative and novel treatment strategies

This session includes Signal transduction pathways, Cell Signaling and Neurochemistry, Cellular and Molecular mechanisms and Ion channels

Theme: “Ground-breaking Research sheds light on the mysteries of Neurology and Neurophysiology

Neurophysiology 2017 participants include Professors, Researchers, Physicians, Business Delegates, Scientists, students all over the world. The goal of the Neurophysiology Meeting is to provide you with a rare opportunity to build on what you already know in the research and development of new therapies and techniques and accelerate efforts to enhance health and well-being.

Significance and Scope:

Brain diseases  represent 35% of the overall disease burden and cost European society nearly euro 400 billion every year. The European pharmaceutical industry spent around €3.3 billion on brain research every year, relating to 79% of the aggregate funding for brain research in Europe. Research on neurodegenerative disorders, a subset of neurological disorders, was upheld with EUR 401 million, with priority on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Research on neuropsychiatric disorders, like depression or schizophrenia has been supported with EUR 283 million.

Neurological disorders turn into a developing risk, because of the demographic change and the subsequent increment of elderly populations in Europe. It is assessed that in 2040, 14 million Europeans will be influenced by Alzheimer's illness that will cost about EUR 140 billion in care for every year. Mental health and research on neuropsychiatric disorders were of utmost importance, with more than EUR 280 million contributed since 2007. In Europe, neurological damage represents 40% of individuals who are extremely disabled and who require assistance every day.

Who will be there?

Neurophysiologists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, physiatrists, Pharmacists, Research scientists, Neurology Organizations and societies, Pharmaceutical companies, Neuro and CNS drug Industries, Neuroscience associations & foundations, Professors and Students from Academia in the study of Neurology and Neurophysiology and researchers who utilize neurophysiological techniques and knowledge in diagnosing and treating nervous system disorders

Importance and Scope:

Neurological disorders become a growing threat, due to the demographic change and the resulting increase of elderly populations in Europe. It is estimated that in 2040, 14 million Europeans will be affected by Alzheimer’s disease that will cost about EUR 140 billion in care per year. Mental health and research on neuropsychiatric diseases were priorities, with more than EUR 280 million invested since 2007. Brain diseases account for 35% of the overall disease burden and cost European society almost euro 400 billion per year.

Research on neuropsychiatric diseases such as depression or schizophrenia has been supported with EUR 283 million. In Europe overall, neurological damage accounts for 40% of people who are severely disabled and who require daily help.

Neurophysiology continues to advance, with the development of new applications such as brainstem mapping, spinal cord mapping, monitoring for position-related nerve injuries, and many others.

Why are we meeting in Munich?

Munich is home to many national and international authorities, major universities and major museums. Its numerous architectural attractions, international sports events, exhibitions, conferences and Oktoberfest attract considerable tourism. It is a leading location for science and research and it is an internationally attractive site for training and research in neurosciences. In Munich, research related to neurosciences spans a wide spectrum of current investigation areas, ranging from neural stem cells and the molecular mechanisms of early brain development, via cellular and systems neurobiology, neurocognition and behavior, to epistemology, philosophy of science, logic, and ethics

Munich, Bavaria’s capital, is home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The city is a major international center of business, engineering, research and medicine exemplified by the presence of two research universities, a multitude of smaller colleges, headquarters of several multinational companies and world-class technology and science museums like the Deutsches Museum and BMW Museum
